What to write to us about
- Corrections. A frost date that disagrees with your own records, a station that looks wrong, a zone that does not match your ZIP code, or a quote from an extension publication that has changed since we read it. Tell us the page and what you see; station names and IDs are printed so a claim can be checked.
- Questions. About a tool, a guide, a plant page or how a figure was worked out. Our pages give each extension service’s advice for its own state, so for a decision about your own garden your state’s cooperative extension service is the best next step.
- Research help. If you are a student, teacher or researcher using the NOAA freeze dates or USDA zones as they appear here, we can tell you where a figure came from and how it was put together. How the guides are written and checked is on How we write our guides.
